Bangalore being an IT hub has many huge buildings encompassing it and for a person who loves photography it might not seem like a place where one could exhibit that particular hobby and passion. But there are great places you may or may not have heard about in and around the city that are actually photogenic as far as landscapes go, and is recommended for you guys to check them out as they provide great views for the ones that are keen for that.

Hesaraghatta Lake

A mere 18km from Bangalore city, this is a great place to test your clicking skills. Easily accessible via road, and not being that far from the city, photographers will love checking this place out. Getting there via bike is pretty fun as you might find something along the way that may or may not catch your eye. Only about 180km away from Bangalore, Hassan is full of temples and provides the best angles for a photographer who isn’t looking particularly into nature and landscapes and such and who wants more of an architectural inspiration. For them, Hassan is a must-visit place.

Nandi Hills

Giving you a great view of a sunrise and sunset, Nandi hills is for the landscape enthusiast. About 67km away from Bangalore, this too is a great place to trek and click great photos as there is a lot of material to work on along the way to the Nandi hills. Do check it out as you definitely will not be disappointed with the view that this awesome place provides.


Siddarabettais about 107km from the city of Bangalore and resides in Madhugiri. A fun fact, Madhurigiri is known to be a monolith which is the second largest in all of Asia. Siddarabetta Has a pleasant climate with a variety of flora and fauna spread across the place. Trigger-ready photographers will find this place to be an amazing haven as there are lot of awesome views.

Town of Potters

With a wide array of material to work with and so many wonderful designs of pots and the way they make them, the Town of Potters is a great place to let the photographer in you go on a click rampage. Found in Benson Town in Bangalore, this is easily accessible for people with bikes as the roads to get jammed and it gets hard to get by, so if you don’t have one of your own try renting out bikes from, they provide well maintained self ride bikes in bangalore at reasonable rates. It is also advised to visit during the day, as you get to witness the masters in full action as this place bustles with people making pots. All in all a great place to check out for photographers.
